Sign-up & Sign-in
Sign-up and sign-in are the two public doors into the e-bon Portal. Both live at https://app.e-bon.ro — the Register page (/register) and the Login page (/login) — and are the only Portal pages that don't require an account. Every other page in this section is reachable only after one of these flows succeeds and you land on your dashboard.
This page walks you through what you'll see on screen and how each step behaves.
Create your account
Open https://app.e-bon.ro/en/register. The form has six fields, in this order.
Enter your company name
Type your legal trading name in the Company name field (for example S.C. Company S.R.L.). The field is required — you can't submit the form while it is empty.
If you fill in the CUI / CIF field below first and the ANAF lookup succeeds, the company name fills in automatically and a small note Auto-filled from ANAF appears under the field. You can still edit the value afterwards if you want.
Enter your CUI / CIF
Type your Romanian tax code in the CUI / CIF field. The format is an optional RO prefix followed by 2 to 10 digits, for example RO12345678 or 12345678. If the value doesn't match this format, the field shows Invalid CUI (e.g. RO12345678 or 12345678).
When you tab out of the field with a valid CUI, e-bon checks the company against the public ANAF Registrul persoanelor impozabile and shows one of three results:
- A spinner while the check is in progress.
- A green ✓ Verified via ANAF check when the company is found. The company name and address fill in automatically. If the company is registered for VAT, a VAT registered chip appears next to the result. If ANAF marks the company as inactive, a red Company INACTIVE chip appears.
- An amber CUI not found in ANAF database alert when there's no match. Sign-up is not blocked — you can fill in the company name yourself and continue.
If the ANAF service is temporarily unavailable, the check fails silently and you can still submit the form.
Enter your email address
Type the email address you want to use to sign in. It must be a valid email address (e.g. name@example.com); otherwise the field shows Email address is not valid.
If the address is already registered to another e-bon account, the form shows This email address is already registered. when you submit. Use the Forgot password flow instead.
Choose a password
Type a password in the Password field. The minimum length is 8 characters. Click the eye icon on the right to show or hide what you type.
A three-bar strength meter appears below the field as you type and rates your password as Weak (red), Medium (amber), or Strong (green). To reach Strong, use at least 8 characters and mix upper-case letters, digits, and symbols.
The 8-character minimum is the only hard requirement enforced on submit — the strength meter is a recommendation. You can sign up with a Weak password, but you really shouldn't.
Confirm the password
Re-type the same password in the Confirm password field. If the two values don't match, the field shows Passwords do not match.
Accept the terms
Tick the I accept the terms and conditions checkbox. The link opens our public Terms and Privacy pages. Submit is blocked until the box is ticked — you'll see You must accept the terms if you forget.
When the form is valid, click Create account. On success, you land on your dashboard at /portal/dashboard and you're signed in.
Sign in
Open https://app.e-bon.ro/en/login. The form has two fields, a Remember me toggle, and a Forgot password? link.
- Email address — must be a valid email address; otherwise the field shows Email address is not valid.
- Password — required; click the eye icon to show or hide it.
- Remember me — when ticked, your session stays signed in across browser restarts; otherwise it ends when you close the browser.
Click Sign in. On success, you land on your dashboard. If the email or password is wrong, the form shows Invalid email or password. Any other failure shows Authentication failed. Please try again.
Reset a forgotten password
If you can't remember your password, use the Forgot password? link on the sign-in page.
Click Forgot password?
The link sits next to the Remember me toggle on the login page. Clicking it opens the Reset your password dialog.
Enter your email address
Type the address associated with your account. The Send reset link button stays disabled until the field has a value.
Send the reset link
Click Send reset link. e-bon shows a green Check your inbox confirmation: If an account with that email exists, we've sent a password reset link. The dialog form is replaced with a Close button.
For your security, the same confirmation appears whether or not the address is actually on file — this prevents the page from being used to discover which emails have e-bon accounts. If your inbox stays empty, double-check the address and try again.
Open the email and follow the link
The reset email is delivered straight to your inbox. Click the link, choose a new password, and sign in normally. There is no in-Portal change-password screen for this flow — everything happens through the link in the email.
If the request itself fails (for example, you have no internet connection), the dialog shows a red Something went wrong. Please try again later. Closing the dialog clears the form so you can start over.
